Welcome to
K.I.S. (S) IN THE KITCHEN
Keep
It
Simple
(Stupid)
With my clever, cute and ever so platonic friend,

Natalie Bertolo, from Bertolo’s Home Made Foods.

On the first Saturday of the month we meet at Bertolo’s and Natalie shares a Quick and delicious recipe with me and all our listeners, both of them.

This Months recipe is for Rum Balls

½ cup Chocolate
½ cup powder sugar
1/3 cup Dark rum
¼ cup corn syrup
2 ½ cups finally chopped chocolate wafer crumbs
2 tsp cinnamon
¾ finely chopped nuts
Coco, icing sugar, ground nuts, wafer crumbs, sprinkles, ECT

Melt chocolate in double boiler
Mix in sugar, rum and Corn syrup
Stir in chocolate wafer crumbs, cinnamon & nuts
Mix, scraping down the sides of the bowl
Cover and refrigerate minimum 1 hour until mixture is firm
Form into balls
Roll in what you wish ( sugar, sprinkles, ect)
Layer remaining balls (like you weren’t sneaking a few) in an air tight container placing a sheet of parchment paper or waxed paper between layers
Can be stored for up to one month in the freezer.

This is also the month I shook up K. I. S. (S) a bit and added in bit of information for your education of the product. Let me know what you think.
